JAMESTOWN – Four teenagers – one an adult – are facing charges following an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department into an incident involving houses, vehicles and people being shot at with Paint Ball Guns. Police say the incident took place Monday night in the area of the Westside of Jamestown near the city line with the town of Ellicott.
According to a report from the JPD, an unidentified 18 year old, along with two 16 year-olds and one 15 year old were charged with two counts of second-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment, second-degree criminal nuisance and fifth-degree conspiracy.
The arrests were made after officers investigated a series of complaints involving a group of teens firing paintballs throughout the city – striking houses, vehicles and pedestrians. According to the Jamestown Post-Journal, one of those struck was an off-duty state police trooper.
Jamestown police have not released the names of the suspects, but say all four are from the Jamestown area. The three oldest were arraigned in city court and sent to the county jail. The 15-year-old will be petitioned to Family Court.
