JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Post-Journal is reporting Wednesday morning that the Falconer man accused of deer jacking has been ordered to surrender all firearms to police.
During an arraignment Tuesday morning, 60 year-old Bruce Giddy was also told to undergo a mental health evaluation. A temporary order of protection against a person whose name was not released was issued, as well.
The Falconer man ultimately pleaded innocent to 41 misdemeanor charges stemming from a four-month investigation into deer jacking in the greater Jamestown area, with Giddy allegedly firing some shots at deer within the city limit. Giddy also pleaded innocent last week in Ellicott Court. He is facing a total of 54 misdemeanors after being charged earlier this month by New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police.
