FREDONIA – On Saturday at 3 p.m., SUNY Fredonia’s Advanced Leadership Development Program, together with the Jamestown Salvation Army domestic violence program – the Anew Center – is hosting “Love Shouldn’t Hurt,” an event designed to raise awareness about domestic violence.
The walk will also help raise money to educate area residents in an effort to decrease the number of violent incidents in the region. The walk will start on Temple St. and continue through Maple St., Central Ave., and then back to campus. The entire walk is 1.7 miles.
Registration will begin at 1 p.m. in the Williams Center Multipurpose Room and will feature two guest speakers, who will talk about their knowledge of and experiences with domestic violence.
Both campus and community members are invited to participate. For more information, contact Daniel Krauss at 716-341-0776 or Krau8573@fredonia.edu.
