JAMESTOWN – The president of the Jamestown City Council is reaching across the aisle to appoint the person who will serve as the panel’s next chair of the finance committee.
City Council President Greg Rabb (D-At Large) said in media release that he will appoint City Councilman Tony Dolce (R-Ward II) as finance committee chair. Dolce will be taking over for current city Councilman Vince DeJoy (D-Ward IV), who is expected to leave the council at the end of this month to become the city’s next Director of Development. His appointment by Mayor Sam Teresi must be finalized by a vote of the city council before he can officially take that position.
Rabb also said that he would like to personally thank DeJoy for his excellent leadership as Chair through five challenging budgets, and he look forward to working with Dolce as the new chair of the finance committee.
The city council will vote on the appointment of DeJoy as City Development Director during its February 25 voting session.
