JAMESTOWN – Time is running out to participate in the Chautauqua County Humane Society bike raffle to help raise the funds for the Cat Colony Renewal Project campaign that is currently underway. The humane society is raffling off a new bicycle and customizable accessory package valued at $500 donated by the Jamestown Cycle Shop. There is a sample bike on display in the Humane Society Adoption Center Lobby. The winner will have the option to choose a bike and accessory package that fits his/her needs.
The winning ticket will be drawn on Saturday, September 15, 2012. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at the Strunk Road Adoption Center, 2nd Chances Thrift Store in the Fairmount Plaza, and the Jamestown Cycle Shop.
The Cat Colony Renewal Project involves a plan to renovate the existing space where cats are housed in the CCHS shelter. The reconstruction will give the felines a better quality of life while awaiting adoption. The goal for the project is $25,000.
