JAMESTOWN – The Chautauqua Region Community Foundation gave the Food Bank of Western New York a $10,000 boost during a check presentation yesterday. The funding will be used to help acquire and distributing food to all of the agencies that it serves – including the St. Susan’s Center here in Jamestown. In all, the food bank collects and distributes food to 334 member agencies in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Erie and Niagara counties. In 2012 alone, it distributed over 10.2 million pounds of food, which equates to more than 1,035,000 meals.
