MAYVILLE – Area residents who primarily speak Spanish will find it easier vote in the upcoming General Election. The Chautauqua County Board of Elections is reporting that it will have ballots in the Spanish language available at all Jamestown and Dunkirk poll sites, due to a high Spanish-speaking population in the two cities. The Board will also have Spanish-speaking poll workers at the sites and Spanish-speaking translators available by phone for all county poll sites.
Voters are also encouraged to visit the Board of Elections website at www.votechautauqua.com. The website has the ability to translate content into Spanish and other languages. Spanish language sample ballots, absentee applications and voter registration forms are also readily available.
