MAYVILLE – A pair of community journalists have released a video that questions the sale of the Chautauqua County Home to a Chicago-based buyer. The video was produced by Karen and Roy Harvey, two Mayville residents with a background as investigative journalists. It focuses on William Avi Rothner, the owner of Altitude Health Service, LLC. and features publicly available information about the track record of the other nursing homes connected to Rothner. It also features Rothner’s presentation to the Chautauqua County Legislature. The County Legislature is set to consider the sale as early as this month.
The Harveys will be airing the video at 3:15 this afternoon in the Day Room of the Chautauqua County Home. The public is welcome to attend.A free hard copy DVD’s may also be accessed at various locations throughout the county. The video is available on Youtube.
