JAMESTOWN – City police are announcing the arrest of two Jamestown residents on drug possession charges following a lengthy investigation into the distribution and sale of heroin in the city. In a media release, JPD Captain Robert Samuelson said that 28 year-old Luis A. DeJesus-Colon and 49 year-old Neftali Cintron were both charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The arrest came after members of the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team, State Police and Department of Homeland Security executed a search warrant at 2:30 p.m. Monday at 31 Barrett Ave. During the search police located both heroin and cash in the residence.
The two men were transported to Jamestown City Jail and were awaiting arraignment. Samuelson said the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
Police are asking anyone who may have information on the illegal sale of narcotics in the city of Jamestown to contact the department’s anonymous tip line at 483-8477.
