JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man is behind bars after allegedly being involved in a stabbing Sunday afternoon. City police were sent to WCA Hospital at about 2:15 p.m. Sunday after an unidentified 29 year-old came into the emergency room with a serious stab wound to his abdomen. After an investigation, police learned the victim was involved in an altercation around 2 p.m. near Fulton Strong Streets. The victim then got into his vehicle and drove to the hospital. Officers later arrested 29 year old Kelvin Thomas, who was charged with first-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief. He is now in the county jail.
It was the second stabbing officers responded to on Sunday. As first reported yesterday on WRFA, officers arrested 23 year old Michael Lapp of Jamestown Sunday morning after he allegedly stabbed another city man on 196 Barrett Ave. Lapp was arraigned Monday in city court and sent to the county jail.
