JAMESTOWN – Jamestown city officials will learn more about the impact the 2012 Lucille Ball Comedy Festival had on the community when they meet tonight in city hall. The Jamestown City Council will hold a work session tonight, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Among the items to be discussed is a presentation from the Lucy-Desi Center, providing an update on the impact this year’s Lucy Comedy had on the local economy.
Prior to the work session, the several city council committees will also be meeting. The council’s housing committee will meet at 7:00 p.m. and will review an amendment to the city zoning law that would restrict the size of accessory structures – such as sheds – to just 700 square feet and 18 feet in height. The committee will also get an update on cockroach concerns in a neighborhood on West 9th Street.
The city Finance committee will also meet at 7:00 p.m., while the Public Safety committee and public works committee will both meet at 7:15 p.m. All meetings will take place on the 4th floor of city hall and are open to the public.
