JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown City Council will hold another round of work sessions tonight in city hall, although only two council committees will be meeting for routine business. Both the county’s finance committee and the county’s public safety committee will be meeting at 7:15 p.m. in city hall. Neither the housing committee or the public works committee are scheduled to meet.
Tonight’s meeting will be the first of the city council since Jamestown Mayor Sam Teresi announced that his appointment for the next Director of Devolopment would be current city councilman Vince DeJoy. The council will have to act on the appointment during it’s voting session on February 25 before DeJoy can step down from the council and take the position of development director.
The full council will meet at 7:30 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.
