SINCLAIRVILLE – The Cassadaga Elementary School will be shutting its doors for good at the end of this school year. That from a report in the Jamestown Post-Journal, which says the Cassadaga Valley Board of Education voted unanimously Monday night to close the Elementary School effective June 30. The decision was based upon ever decreasing enrollment throughout the entire district over the past 20 years.
Next year all students pre-K through fifth grade will attend the Sinclairville Elementary School. As for the future of the building, the school board will most likely appoint a committee to make recommendations about possible uses for the building at its next meeting.
