MAYVILLE – The four men involved in the Carroll double homicide will face additional charges. The Chautauqua County District Attorney’s office says that an indictment was handed up by a Chautauqua County grand jury last week, and the four men appeared in county court Friday morning for their preliminary hear.

The four co-defendants, all from Elmira, are accused of killing Carroll residents Gordon and Joyce Skinner the morning go April 17 in their home on Wheeler Hill rd.

Two of the men, 34 year old Davide Coggins and 21 year old Joshua McCormick, 21, were charged with first-degree murder. Coggins and McCormick along with the other two co-defendants – Ricky Knickerbocker and Steven Todd, both 18 –  also were each charged with two counts of second-degree murder with intent to cause death; two counts of felony second-degree murder; first-degree arson; two counts of first-degree burglary; second-degree arson; second-degree burglary; and fourth-degree conspiracy.

Bail for Coggins was set at $2.5 million cash. McCormick’s bail was set at $2 million cash, while Knickerbocker’s and Todd’s were set at $1.5 million cash. Coggins is being represented by the county public defender Ned Barone. The other three are being represented by local attorneys appointed by the court.

According to the Jamestown Post-Journal, all four men pleaded innocent on Friday and are scheduled to be back in court on June 10 for a pre-motion conference.

I personally knew these two wonderful people, What these animals did to them should demand NYS have a death penalty.
