JAMESTOWN – The opening of the downtown Jamestown Community Farmers Market for the 2013 growing season is just one month away. The Jamestown Renaissance Corporation (JRC) will oversee the operation of the farmers market for this year, with Univera Healthcare once again serving as the corporate sponsor.
The Univera Farmers Market is set to open on Friday, June 7 with the return of local farms selling farm-fresh produce, fresh-frozen meats, cheese, eggs, homemade baked goods, and other specialty products.
The downtown market season will continue every Friday through October 25th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Foundry Alley, next to the Dr. Lillian Vitanza Ney Renaissance Center on 3rd St.
