MAYVILLE – Two Jamestown men have been sentenced in County Court for their involvement in separate shooting incidents.
County District Attorney Patrick Swanson says 22 year-old Trenton Grant was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Monday. Grant was involved in the shooting incident that took place on Sept. 2, 2014 outside the Appleyard Terrace housing complex on Second St. The victim of the shooting was hospitalized as a result of the incident. The other man involved in the shooting – 21 year-old Isaiah Pearson – was sentenced earlier this year to eight years in prison.
Meanwhile, 24 year-old Alexander Jewell, 24 was also sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involvement in a separate shooting incident. Jewell was involved in a drive-by shooting that took place at the Tops Supermarket parking lot on Washington St. on July 24, 2015. A second man involved in the shooting – 31 year old Michael Robinson – has reportedly also reached a plea deal with the D-A’s office but has not yet been sentenced. The victim in that shooting incident was also hospitalized.
Both sentences came after both men reached plea deals with the D-A’s office.
