MAYVILLE – A Mayville man who worked as a school bus driver for a local school district has been arrested for alleged sexual misconduct with a minor.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says 46 year-old Charles Heilman was arrested at his home on Elm Flats Road home following an investigation into an alleged sex offense that took place in August.
Heilman was charged with two counts of sexual misconduct, forcible touching and unlawfully dealing with a child.
He was sent to the Chautauqua County Jail on $2,000 cash bail.
According to the Post-Journal, Heilman served as a school bus driver with Cassadaga Valley Central School. He was placed on administrative leave Wednesday. The Post-Journal report also states that Heilman allegedly committed the offense during personal time and not while working for the district.
