The 2014 Downtown Jamestown Farmers Market kicks off Thursday afternoon at a new location.
The new location for the Farmers Market is Cherry Street between 3rd and 2nd streets. The market also has a new day and time. It will now run every Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. – all the way until October 30.
Returning this year are local farms selling fresh produce, fresh-frozen meats, cheese, eggs, goat milk fudge, and homemade baked goods. Specialty products, including locally roasted coffee, essential oils, and local wines will although be available during the 2014 season. As in past years, there will also be live entertainment each week from noon to 1 p.m. New this year, there will also be live entertainment from 5 to 6 p.m. Univera Healthcare will also serve as the main sponsor for the event.
WRFA will also be broadcasting from the market on the first and third Thursday of each month. Stop by June 5 between noon and 1 p.m. and say hello.
