Originally airing Friday, Sept. 5, 2014.
WRFA Public Affairs Director Jason Sample interview Deacon Pierce and Steven Cobb from Winged Ox Players to discuss the upcoming presentation of the play To Kill a Mockingbird, based on the award winning novel by Harper Lee.
The play is filled with warmth and humor, despite dealing with the serious issues of rape and racial inequality. “In the twentieth century, To Kill a Mockingbird is probably the most widely read book dealing with race in America, and its protagonist, Atticus Finch, the most enduring fictional image of racial heroism.”
The show will take place at the Willow Bay Theater on 3rd St. in Downtown Jamestown.
