JAMESTOWN – Another community meeting will be taking place tonight at the East Side YMCA in Jamestown. The meeting – which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the E. 2nd St. facility – is in regard to address various safety issues at Lillian Dickson Park on Falconer Street and in other nearby areas on the city’s east side. On the agenda are a park-area community cleanup and possible kick-off events, among other items. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Last month, organizers discussed various fundraising initiatives and set a goal of $30,000 to be raised over the next year to help cover the cost of renovating the park. The Chautauqua Health Network has already committed $4500 of its Creating Healthy Places funding toward the project.
All members of the public, including those who live in the neighborhood, are encouraged to attend tonight’s meeting, which is being facilitated by Chautauqua County Health Network’s Creating Healthy Places initiative.
