MAYVILLE – The Chautauqua County Legislature Wednesday night approved the relocation of the DMV office in Jamestown.
According to an article in the Post Journal, the legislature authorized a lease 3085 sq. ft. of office space at 512 W. Third St. The rent is $12 per-square-foot for the first year with a 4 percent increase every year after.
Meanwhile, The Robert H. Jackson Center will receive key funding from the county’s 3 percent occupancy tax fund.
Chautauqua County legislators designated $25,000 for the center during last night’s meeting, which will be used to assist in costs associated with its upcoming spring and summer events.
