LAKEWOOD – Local law enforcement have made another major marijuana bust in Jamestown area.
According to the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department seized $160,000 worth of marijuana during a raid that took place in four different residences on Friday.
The raids took place following a 10-month investigation and after police received a search warrant to enter homes at 70 W. 13th St. in Jamestown, 24 Melvin Ave. and 51 Boulevard Ave. in Celoron and 288 Southland Ave. in Lakewood.
Following the investigation, police arrested 48 year-old Jeffrey Boardman of Lakewood, who was the owner of all four properties.
Not only did police find about 150 plants, but they also seized growing and processing equipment as well.
Boardman was charged with second-degree criminal possession of marijuana and unlawfully growing cannabis. He arraigned in Busti Court and sent to the County Jail without bail.
