BUFFALO – The National Weather Service has upgraded its Lake Effect Snow Advisory to a Lake Effect Snow Warning for Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Southern Erie Counties.
The Warning will be in effect from 6 p.m. tonight and continuing until 4 a.m. Thursday. Forecasters say as much as 3 to 5 inches of snow could fall tonight and another 5 to 9 inches could fall on Wednesday, bringing overall totals to 8 to 14 inches.
In addition, wind gusts could reach 40 mph, creating blowing and drifting snow and hazardous driving conditions.
