The 2014 candidates for 23rd Congressional District of New York: Congressman Tom Reed (R-Corning) and challenger Martha Robertson (D-Ithaca).

The Tompkins County Democrat challenging congressman Tom Reed (R-Corning) for the NY 23rd Congressional District has received key endorsements from three labor groups. Tompkins County legislator and congressional candidate Martha Robertson (D-Ithaca) has been endorsed by members of the AFL-CIO, NYSUT, and PEF.

The New York State AFL-CIO is a federation of 3,000 affiliated public sector, private sector, and building trades unions throughout the state representing 2.5 million members, retirees and their families. NYSUT represents over 600,000 professionals; primarily teachers, college faculty, and professional school staff, in addition to health care workers. PEF represents over 50,000 New York State professional, scientific, and technical public employees.

Meanwhile, Congressman Reed will receive the U.S. Chamber endorsement Monday afternoon in Jamestown. Reed will be joined by U.S. Chamber officials, community members and supporters to receive the official endorsement of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce at Everyday True Value in Jamestown.

Immediately following the announcement, Reed will tour Everyday True Value and continue his working and listening tour.
