MAVYILLE – A jury has reached a verdict in the case of the former Jamestown Police detective who was suing the city for lost vacation pay, lack of being promoted and other compensation.
On Thursday jurors found that Timothy Wright was not denied a promotion or annual compensatory time by the city because of his extended military leaves. However, the jury did determine that Wright should receive lost vacation pay on four separate occasions, based on the fact that any withheld vacation pay was in violation of the city’s collective bargaining agreement.
