[UPDATE: SATURDAY, NOV 26 at 10:15 a.m.] – The Jamestown Police Department is continuing to ask for the public’s help in providing information into a series of shootings that have taken place during the past 48 hours in the city. So far, four confirmed separate shooting incidents have taken place since early Thanksgiving morning, resulting in one death and two others injured.
There have been some reports on social media of other shooting incidents taking place overnight Friday and into Saturday morning. However, JPD Captain Robert Samuelson tells WRFA Saturday morning, “I’m only aware of four. We had two reports of shots fired overnight that were unfounded.”

JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Police Department is investigating yet another call of shots fired Friday night (Nov. 25) on the north side of the city.
Police say officers responded to multiple shots being fired in the area of Lakeview Ave. at Euclid Ave. at around 8 p.m. Friday night. As of 9:30 p.m., officers were still on the scene and investigating the incident. At this time there are no reports of injuries from this incident. Police say a vehicle driving by the scene was reportedly struck from one of the rounds fired but no persons have been reported to be injured.
The shooting incident is the fourth such reported incident with the past 48 hours. The first shooting incident took place early Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 24) and resulted in three people being shot and one dying as a result of the injuries.
Two other subsequent shooting incidents reportedly took place Thursday afternoon and again on Friday afternoon. No one was reported as injured in either of those two incidents.
Police said the three previous incidents are considered specific, targeted acts and are not random acts of violence towards the general public. They did not specify if that was also the case for the Lakeview-Euclid shooting incident.
Anyone who may have information on this or the other shootings are asked to contact the Jamestown Police immediately at 483-7537 or they can leave an anoymous tip on the departments Tip 411 App or the Anonymous Tip Line at 483-8477 (Tips) All calls will be kept strictly confidential.
