JAMESTOWN – Members of the Jamestown Police Department arrested three suspects allegedly involved with the distribution and sale of heroin.
Police Captain Robert Samuelson says city police, along with members of the city SWAT Team, arrested three individuals Friday afternoon, Feb. 7, at an apartment in downtown Jamestown following an investigation into the selling of heroin. The apartment was located at 218 E. Second St. – directly across the street from the Jamestown Police headquarters.
Arrested were 22 year old Juan Aponte-Sierra, 18 year old Christian Marquez-Sierra and 17 year old Josh Figueroa. During the arrest officers also found what was described as a large quantity of heroin, cash and a shotgun with ammunition for the gun. All three face felony drug charges.
Heroin has become more and more prevalent in the community the past several months. City police say that anyone who has information into the sale of any narcotics should contact city police using the anonymous tip line at 483-Tips.
