PlaceattheTableJamestown Community College will continue its Endangered Earth film series on March 11 with the screening of the film A Place at the Table.

Struggles with food insecurity are documented in “A Place at the Table.” The economic, social, and cultural implications of hunger on Americans is examined in profiles of three people.

As part of its screening, Jamestown Community College’s sustainability program will host a dinner to benefit St. Susan Center. A hearty buffet style dinner will be served, beginning at 6 p.m., in the Katharine Jackson Carnahan Center on JCC’s Jamestown Campus. A $10 donation is suggested.

Since seating is limited, reservations must be made by contacting JCC’s office of sustainability, 338.1194 or sustainability@mail.sunyjcc.edu. The film will be shown following, starting at 7 p.m. in the Carnahan Center Theatre and feature a guided post-screening discussion.

“A Place at the Table” is the third film that will be shown in the Endangered Earth series coordinated by JCC’s sustainability program.

The series, sponsored by JCC’s sustainability program, is free and open to the public.
