JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Community College associate Political Science Professor Gregory Rabb was part of a “Turkish and U.S. Educators Talk” delegation to Turkey recently.
A team of 24 global educators and instructional technology experts from the U.S. traveled to Turkey in March to explore avenues for transnational collaboration in online and traditional classroom settings. The delegation studied Turkey’s political, educational, and cultural systems during visits to Istanbul and Ankara.
Sponsored by the Middle Eastern Studies Center at the Ohio State University, the event was designed to facilitate the establishment of a community of educators in Turkey and the U.S. and promote classroom connections through new technologies and actual visits.
A member of the JCC faculty since 1986, Rabb also serves as JCC’s international studies coordinator and received the JCC Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1987. He is also an at-large member of the Jamestown City Council, currently serving as president.
