JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Community College has a named its new vice president of enrollment, marketing, and communications. Kirk D. Young will begin his new duties in early August.
Young comes to Jamestown from Utah Valley University, where he’s held the position of assistant vice president for recruitment and outreach since 2013. Utah Valley University is also where current JCC president Cory Duckworth had worked, prior to coming on board at JCC last year.
A 2002 graduate of Utah Valley State College, Young earned a master’s degree at Brigham Young University. He expects to receive a doctorate from Gonzaga University in spring 2015.
In this new position Young will be responsible for creating strategies that grow JCC’s brand, reputation, and visibility. He will direct and implement programs and projects that support student recruitment and will manage all media affairs.
