JAMESTOWN – Two city residents were arrested on Sunday following a wellness check by city police at a Forest Avenue residence.
Jamestown Police responded to 248 Forest Ave. on Sunday just before 9 p.m. to assist a female subject who allegedly was threatened with a shotgun earlier in the day. Upon arrival, police located 32 year-old Todd Dalton and 32 year-old Jacqueline Delo, who both denied any incident taking place.
While at the scene, police observed in plain view a loaded shotgun, a digital scale, a small quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine, 43 grams of marijuana and multiple prescription pills. A subsequent investigation revealed the shotgun had been reported stolen Saturday from a burglary in Jamestown.
Dalton and Delo were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, eight counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of stolen property. Delo was also charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana.
Both were arraigned and committed to Chautauqua County Jail.
