ALBANY – State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli has released an updated list of “School Districts in Stress,” compiled at the end of 2015.
The only local school appearing on the list under “Moderate Stress” was Jamestown Public Schools, which scored 55 percent under the state’s fiscal stress monitoring system. It was one of 24 districts across the state to appear on the moderate stress list. A school with a score of 65 percent or higher would be listed as having significant fiscal stress.
Only Eight districts made the list of “Significant Stress” but none were located in Chautauqua County.
The list also included districts susceptible to fiscal stress, but none from Chautauqua County were on that list.
The complete report can be found online at the comptrollers website.
