JAMESTOWN – The Jamestown City Council PTSA (Parent, Teacher, Student Association) will host and moderate a public candidate forum tonight for the candidates seeking reelection to the three open seats for the Jamestown School Board. Only three individuals submitted petitions to have their name appear on this year’s ballot and each is already a member of the school board. The three running for reelection unopposed are board members Paul Abbot, Shelly Leaters and Tom Pope.
The forum will begin at 6 p.m. in the Jefferson Middle School Auditorium and is open to all area residents.
The school board election and budget vote will take place on Tuesday, May 20.
