JAMESTOWN – City police are asking for the public’s help in providing information about a reported home invasion and robbery that took place early Sunday morning.
City police say two unknown suspects allegedly forced their way into a south side home just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, although police are not giving the specific address or street location.
Police say the two gained entrance after knocking on the door of the home and asking for assistance with their broken down vehicle. Once inside, the two suspects tied up the occupants and robbed them of property and cash at gunpoint.
The first suspect is described as a 6-foot-3 black male with a thin build who was also wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is described as a 5-foot-7 Hispanic male with a stocky build. Both suspects fled the scene and are still at large.
