JAMESTOWN, NY – Jamestown Police are making progress in their investigation into a home invasion and robbery that took place last Sunday at 12:40 a.m. on the south side of the city.
Tuesday afternoon city police issued a press releasing asking for the public’s help in tracking down a vehicle that may have been involved in the incident. Early Tuesday night Captain Robert Samuelson provided a follow-up, saying the vehicle has been located, parked in a lot off of Lakeview Ave. and subsequently impounded.
The vehicle in question – a blue Chrysler Pacifica or similar model – was parked near the scene at the time of the incident. Police say the vehicle was being operated by a white female and that the vehicle had a Pennsylvania license plate.
Police say they are still trying to identify the female operator.
