JAMESTOWN – With the current weather and road conditions, the Jamestown Police Department is advising that all motorists use extreme caution while driving.
City Police and the Department of Public Works are also reminding all city residents that all winter alternate parking and downtown parking restrictions remain in effect. The regulations must be followed to ensure proper and timely snow removal and to all for the deployment of emergency vehicles. Both departments will be working to facilitate snow removal including strict enforcement of parking regulations.
Residential and alternate parking regulations, unless otherwise noted with specific signage, requires that vehicles must be parked on the odd side of streets on odd numbered days of the month and on the even side of the streets on even numbered days of the month. The daily changeover time is 10 a.m.
Parking on Downtown streets is strictly prohibited between the hours of 2 a.m. to 7 a.m., unless otherwise noted, to allow for effective snow removal from public parking areas.
