Jamestown Police Investigate Two Additional Shootings Since Thursday Morning Homicide

November 25, 2016 By WRFA Radio 2 Comments

Jamestown Police BadgeJAMESTOWN – The Jamestown Police Department is investigating two additional shootings that took place since the homicide that took place at 129 S. Main St. early Thanksgiving morning (Nov. 24).

Police say on Friday (Nov. 25) at about 2:45 p.m., officers responded to 344 E. 4th St. on a report of multiple shots being fired. Officers arrived and were advised that a suspect dressed in black with a dark ski type mask entered an apartment at the address and fired multiple shots at an occupant. The occupant was not struck and no injuries were reported. The suspect fled the area running in an unknown direction.

In addition to the Friday afternoon shooting incident, another reported shooting incident took place on the area of Falconer and Thayer Streets on Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 24) afternoon at 1:15. Police say officers were called to the area and were advised two black males wearing black winter type jackets fired on a vehicle that was driving through the area. There were no reports of any injuries in the incident.

Investigators are continuing to follow up on the incidents and also are still tracking leads from the homicide on 129 S. Main St.

Police say they believe these incidents are specific, targeted acts and are not random acts of violence towards the general public.

Anyone who may have witnessed the homicide incident at approximately 4:05 a.m. Thursday morning, or either of the two other reported shooting incidents, is asked to call the Jamestown Police Department anonymous tip line at 483-TIPS (8477) or on the JPD’s 411 Tip App.
