JAMESTOWN – Police are continuing their investigation into a shooting that took place early Monday night in a public park on the city’s north side.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, the incident took place at about 6:45 p.m. at Chadakoin Park, near the corner of Washington and Tenth streets.
Not many details are known, except that the victim was an Hispanic male who, after being shot, walked to a nearby Dollar General for help. He was sent to WCA Hospital for non life-threatening injuries. Police say a small caliber firearm was used in the incident.
The shooter is also described as an Hispanic male, although police say they had a hard time getting an accurate description because neither the victim nor possible witnesses would cooperate with the investigation.
