JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man faced several charges after city police investigated what was described as a suspicious situation in front of 62 Allen St. – which is the location of the Jamestown Boys and Girls Club.
City police say 27 year-old William Tilyou was approached by officers and reportedly gave them a false name. A further investigation found Tilyou was wanted on a warrant from the city drug court. He was also found to allegedly have a number of drugs on him, including crystal methamphetamine, heroin, and marijuana – along with other drug paraphernalia.
He was arrested on various charges and taken to the Jamestown City Jail without further incident and will be arraigned today in city court.
