JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police have arrested a city man on suspected burglary charges.
Police say early Tuesday they responded to Hazzard Street to respond to a potential burglary of a nearby home. Officers who responded say they spotted Eric Barbee taking property from the home and moving it to his car.
Further investigation from police found that Barbee allegedly hit the owner of the home in the head before breaking into the home to steal from it.
Barbee is charged with second degree burglary, fourth degree criminal mischief, second degree harassment and petit larceny.
