JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man is in the county jail facing multiple charges after being arrested during the largest individual drug seizure in the city’s history.

On Friday Jamestown police announced the arrest of 34-year-old Juan Pacheco Jr, who was taken into custody on Thursday during a raid at his home at 477 S. Main St.

City police say Pacheco was allegedly in possession of 15 kilos of narcotics with an estimated street value of $2.4 million.

Jamestown Police Chief Harry Snellings says officers confiscated found nine kilos of cocaine, 3.5 kilos of methamphetamine, 2.5 kilos of marijuana, and $140,000 in cash.

Police described Pacheco as an upper-level dealer whose volume of drugs indicates ties beyond the city of Jamestown.

He was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana.

He was arraigned and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
