JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Police have made an arrest in a stabbing that took place early Thursday morning, Oct. 15.
According to city police, officers responded to a stabbing incident at 2:08 a.m. Thursday in the area of 283 Fairmount Ave. Responding officers located a 23 year-old male victim at the scene who had sustained a stab wound to his chest. the victim, who’s name is not being released, was transported to WCA Hospital and was then later transferred to ECMC where he is being treated for his injuries.
Following an investigation, Jamestown Police arrested 33 year-old Eric D. Barbee for his alleged involvement in the incident. Barbee was charged with Assault 2nd Degree, arraigned, and sent to the county jail.
