HARMONY – Two Jamestown men have been arreted on arson charges following the investigation of a fire that took place last November in the town of Harmony.
On Nov. 8, the Panama Fire Department responded to a cabin fire on Button Valley Rd. The Chautauqua County Fire Investigation Team conducted an investigation and determined the fire was intentionally set. Following a 3 month investigation, charges have been filed against 20 year-old Travis Switaj and and 22 year-old Mick Peterson with 2nd degree arson, 3rd degree burglary and 2nd degree criminal mischief. It is alleged that both men entered the cabin and intentionally set items on fire, before leaving the scene. The cabin was a total loss, along with all of its contents.
The two were arraigned in Harmony Town Court, posted bail and will appear in court at later date to answer to their charges.
