NORTH HARMONY – The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the driver of a track trailer cab who died Wednesday in North Harmony after his vehicle was struck by a pick up truck.
Sheriff deputies say 63-year-old James Ellis of Jamestown was traveling along on Route 394 in North Harmony just after 10 a.m. when a pickup truck failed to stop at a stop sign at Magnolia-Stedman Road and struck Ellis’s vehicle, causing it to roll over onto its roof. Ellis was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup – whose name has not yet been released – was taken to Westfield Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
