MAYVILLE – A Jamestown man accused of burglarizing the same Fredonia home twice in five years has been convicted of second-degree burglary.
Acting Chautauqua County district attorney Patrick Swanson announced Thursday that 47-year-old Marcus Norman was convicted following an eight-day trial in Chautauqua County Court.
Norman entered a home in Fredonia on Sept. 19, 2015 and stole cash and personal property. He was discovered when one of the residents awoke and found him crawling on the bedroom floor. At the time of his arrest, Norman was on parole for burglarizing the same house in 2011. Last week’s conviction was his eighth burglary-related conviction since 1988.
Norman will be sentenced at a later date.
