CHARLOTTE – A Jamestown man is in the county jail after police pulled over his vehicle and found that he was in possession of an illegal handgun.
Sheriff Deputies say they pulled over 25 year-old Travis Terry for a traffic violation just before 9 p.m. on Saturday on Route 60 in the town of Charlotte.
During the stop Terry was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm pistol. Police say Terry does not have a pistol permit in New York or any other state and in addition, the pistols serial numbers had been defaced. Terry was arraigned in the Town of Charlotte on Criminal Possession of a Firearm and criminal possession of a weapon and held on bail.
Adrienne says
Serial numbers defaced is not a good sign for this man. He needs a good attorney.
