JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man faces multiple charges after an investigation found he was allegedly involved in an apparent road rage incident with a local school bus.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office says 49 year-old Kevin Burch of Jamestown was charged with Reckless Endangerment, Reckless Operation, Pass in a No Passing Zone, and Parking on Pavement for his involvement in an incident that took place on Tuesday, Sept. 20 in the Frewsburg School District.
According to a media release, the sheriff’s office received a complaint from Frewsburg Central School officials of a vehicle driving in a reckless manner on Falconer-Frewsburg Road in the town of Poland during the afternoon of Sept. 20. The bus driver reported that a pick-up truck pulled up beside his bus in a no passing zone and attempted to get the bus to pull over. The pick-up then pulled directly in front of the bus nearly hitting the front of the bus. When the bus came into Frewsburg the pick-up stopped in the middle of the road forcing the bus to come to a stop. The operator of the truck – identified as Burch – then got out and approached the bus and started verbally abusing the driver.
An investigation into the incident led to Burch being charged in the incident. He will appear in the town of Poland Court at a later date.
