JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown man is in police custody after allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase early Monday morning.
City police say at about 2:30 a.m. Monday, officers were patrolling the area of Grant St. when they saw a man identified as 44 year-old Norman Lindell Jr., who was wanted on a felony warrant in Jamestown.
Police say Lindell allegedly refused to comply with officers and fled the scene, leading officers on a high speed chase through several residential areas, until he crashed his SUV into a cement pillar and fence belonging to Lakeview Cemetery.
Lindell then left the vehicle and fled on food, but was eventually located. He was taken to the city jail, where a quantify of crack cocaine was found on his possession.
He faces multiple charges related to the chase and drug possession. City police received help from the Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the Ellicott, Lakewood and New York State police Departments and their respective K-9 Units.

I guess I’m a proof reader. The report said that Lindell fled on food. I’m sure the tpyist meant that Lindell fled on foot. But it made me laugh, so that’s a good thing.

I even made a boo boo. I wrote tpyist, not typist. Another snicker.
