JAMESTOWN – A city resident was arrested Saturday morning after police found him to be allegedly passed out in his vehicle just off of Forest Ave.
Jamestown Police were called to Forest Park for a report of a suspicious vehicle just before 10:30 a.m. Saturday and found 20 year-old Austin Thayer allegedly passed out behind the steering wheel while the vehicle was still running.
An investigation found Thayer to be in possession of what police said was a large amount of cocaine and cash. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (3rd Degree) and Unlicensed Operation and sent to the city jail to await arraignment.
