JAMESTOWN – Town of Ellicott Police have arrested a Jamestown man on charges of Aggravated Harassment (2nd degree) and Criminal Impersonation after an investigation found he was allegedly using fake accounts to harass others on social media.
According to a media release, Ellicott police say 18-year-old Tyler Goodwill was charged on Tuesday following an investigation into an ongoing issue of fake social media accounts being created and used to harass or annoy people.
Police say their investigation found Goodwill was allegedly creating the accounts and assuming the identity of the victims. He was arrested on a warrant and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail.
